Subhadra Yojana Face eKYC: New Mandatory Step 2026
Your Subhadra Yojana installment reaches your account only when your eKYC shows Complete. For the 2026 cycle, biometric face authentication is the method used to confirm your identity before the Women & Child Development (WCD) Department, Government of Odisha, releases the payment. If that step is pending, the money is held — even if you received all four earlier installments without a problem. Here is how to finish it and confirm it worked.
Why eKYC decides your 2026 payment
Being on the beneficiary list is not enough. When you log in to the official portal, two signals need to be green: eKYC Complete and NPCI Active. Both must show before any Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) can land.
This is where thousands of eligible women get stuck. On March 24, 2026, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida confirmed a review for beneficiaries who missed the 4th installment — a group that specifically included women with pending eKYC, not women who had lost their eligibility. In other words, incomplete verification, not disqualification, is the reason many payments stall.
With the 5th installment expected around Raksha Bandhan in August 2026, finishing this step early is the single most reliable way to avoid a held payment.
How to complete Subhadra Yojana eKYC
There are two safe routes. Both are free of cost — no centre or operator is allowed to charge you.
Through the official portal
- Open subhadra.odisha.gov.in.
- Log in using your registered mobile number and the OTP sent to it (or your Aadhaar / Application Reference Number).
- Go to the eKYC section under your application.
- Enter your Aadhaar number and complete the identity verification prompt shown on screen.
- Submit and note the confirmation.
Your Aadhaar must be linked to the same active mobile number for the OTP to arrive.
At a Mo Seva Kendra or CSC
If you do not have a smartphone, your OTP is not arriving, or the on-screen face match keeps failing, complete the step in person. Visit a Mo Seva Kendra (MSK), Common Service Centre (CSC / Jana Seva Kendra), Anganwadi Centre, or Block Development Office. Carry your original Aadhaar card and the mobile SIM registered with the scheme. An authorized operator runs the biometric verification for you, usually in a few minutes.
Confirm your status after eKYC
Do not assume it is done. Wait 3 to 5 days, log back in, and check that the eKYC field reads Complete. Many women finish the verification but skip this check — and then miss the installment window without knowing why. If the status still shows Pending after a week, raise it on the helpline with your reference number.
If your payment is still held
If eKYC is complete but money has not arrived, the problem is almost always Aadhaar seeding, not eligibility. Aadhaar being “linked” to your account is not the same as being “NPCI-seeded for DBT.”
Visit your bank and ask specifically for “Aadhaar seeding / NPCI mapping for Subhadra Yojana DBT.” Fill the Aadhaar seeding form the bank provides. Your account should be:
- Single-holder — in your name only (joint accounts frequently fail the automated DBT check)
- Aadhaar-linked and DBT-enabled (NPCI mapped)
- Active, not dormant
This one bank-side step is the most common reason transfers bounce back for otherwise approved women.
FAQ
Do I need eKYC if I already received 4 installments?
Yes. The 2026 verification applies to everyone. Earlier payments do not exempt you from the current cycle.
Is there any fee?
No. eKYC and form scanning are free at every authorized centre. Do not pay anyone.
By when should I finish?
Verification typically closes a few weeks before an installment is released. With the 5th payment expected in August 2026, complete it now rather than close to the date.
